Ghost Controls OEM keypads are well built but priced at a premium, and the membrane wears out just as fast in Texas sun as a quality aftermarket equivalent. We install both. Signs Your Ghost Controls Keypad & Intercom Repair Is Failing
- Buttons need multiple presses or a specific angle. The conductive pad under the membrane has worn through or the contacts have oxidized from humidity. Mansfield’s clay soil holds moisture, and we see corrosion on keypad boards even when the keypad is technically weather-sealed.

- After the last code change, the old code still works. This is a Ghost Controls-specific quirk on some DTP series boards: the old code sits in memory until a full reset. It’s not a security emergency, but it defeats the point of changing the code, and we reprogram the board so the old PIN is actually erased, not just hidden.
